Lilla here is your picture of a monkey. This is one of many pictures we have. We have seen them multiple times when we are preaching in the ministry in the rurals. They are hard to take a picture of since they either are dashing across the road or they are swinging from the trees.
We have been in the ministry the past two weeks and attended the english circuit assembly this past weekend. We really enjoyed the assembly hall and even though we had that program it was nice to hear it in English along with see how they adjust things for the area.
Monday we did rurals again and Jake's study wasn't there this time but the studies friend who Jake talked with the first time he met him again. He asked quite a few questions and we were able to talk with him about the Mosaic Law not apply to us now and after these very serious Bible questions then he asked if we believed in mermaids. We were taken by surprise and almost laughed, but then we found out that there is a particular area in Zim where they do believe in them. The guy explained after also that it was a healer that told him about it. But Jake did a great job in explaining how we follow what the Bible says and we are only told of humans and animals in the form that we know them. Definitely a question we have never gotten before.
Today I went back to my lady at the shops. She was waiting for me. She actually said that she came early to set things up so that she had time to study with me. One of her workers also asked Jake to study with him. So next Tuesday when we go back he will study with him. As we were heading out another man stopped us and asked about Matt 28:19,20 and wanted to know do we have to get baptized 3 times because it says "in the name of father and son and holy spirit". So we ended up talking with him for almost and hour while he was weaving a bureau. Which is really interesting how they do it. It is beautiful and alot of work. I am hoping to get pictures of that next time I visit.
After 7 hours of rurals yesterday we were exhausted so we were planning on a easy day today. We walked to my study and ended up hours later coming home. It will be really hard to leave these studies.
We had a great time in the missionary home also. We have a nice privilege of staying at Bethel in two weeks and then another missionary home the week before we leave. This weekend we are heading to Victoria Falls. So we were not planning on going but a sister wanted to take us. So we are happy that we have we will be able to see it. We hear the water is running about 90%. So it should be amazing. The only draw back is that it is a 10 hour drive from where we are. That part is not so exciting....
We hope all are well and hope to write more later.... Our love to all
So exciting you are are going to the falls! Have fun. Glad you are having a good time in service. The locals sound like they are nice to talk to. I am sure Jehovah will use you to do good work for him while you're down there.
